Roads Minister Danny Kennedy announced a £250,000 resurfacing scheme on the A43 Glenravel Road north of Cargan Village, Co Antrim
The works are due to commence on Monday 22 July 2013 and will be completed by Friday 2 August 2013.
The Minister said: "This significant resurfacing scheme on the main road from Ballymena to the Glens of Antrim will provide 2.6kilometres of new asphalt road surface. It shows the importance my Department places on the main road network and in particular key corridors for the Tourism industry in Northern Ireland."
Due to the narrow road width along this stretch of road and to protect the safety of the travelling public and contractors during the surfacing works it will be necessary to close the road during these works.
The road will close from 8.00am Monday 22 July 2013 to 17.00pm Friday 02 August 2013. A diversionary route will be signposted via, B94 Knockan Road, A42 Carnlough Road, A2 Garron Road.
