Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £115,000 major resurfacing scheme on Killycomain Road, Portadown this week.
The resurfacing is from the roundabout on the Gilford Road up to and including the roundabout at Princess Way and will last for two weeks starting on Monday 5 August.
In order to minimise disruption to road users and to meet strict health and safety regulations, the road will be closed to through traffic from Monday 5 August to Sunday 18 August inclusive.
Whilst the work is in progress traffic will be diverted via Carrickblacker Road, Bridge Street, Lurgan Road, Upper Church Lane and Killycomain Road. The diversion route will be clearly signed to assist road users.
Mr Kennedy said: "Roads Service has made every effort to programme the necessary works operations, and traffic management arrangements, to minimise inconvenience to the public. Motorists, however, should be aware that some delays can be expected and they should allow additional time when planning journeys."
