Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that work is scheduled to start on 19 August on a £96,000 resurfacing scheme on Lonemoor Road in Londonderry.
The improvement scheme between the junction at Westland Street and the junction with Creggan Street is expected to take 10 days to complete.
Mr Kennedy said: "This significant improvement scheme will deliver benefits for road users, local residents and the business community for many years to come and is a further demonstration of my commitment to maintain and upgrade the road infrastructure in the Londonderry area."
Temporary traffic management arrangements will be in place with road closure necessary from 8am on Monday 19 August until 6pm Friday 23 August 2013.
A diversionary route for traffic approaching from Creggan Street will be signed via Creggan Road, Westway, Central Drive, Fanad Drive and Eastway. Traffic approaching from Lonemoor Road will be diverted via Westland Street, Lecky Road, Fahan Street, Little Diamond and Creggan Street.
The entire scheme is expected to be completed on Wednesday 28 August 2013.
