Resurfacing Scheme To Begin On Kennedy Way

A resurfacing scheme is due to start on a section of Kennedy Way, Belfast on Saturday 16 November.

The scheme on the road between the Glen Road Roundabout and the Andersonstown Road Roundabout has an estimated cost of £156,000 and is expected to take eight days to complete.

Transport Minister, Danny Kennedy said: "The scheme is being undertaken to improve the quality of the carriageway on this busy route."

The majority of the resurfacing work will be carried out over two consecutive Saturdays, 16 November and 23 November 2013. On these days, Kennedy Way will be closed in both directions between the Andersonstown Road Roundabout and the Glen Road Roundabout from 6am to 8pm. Signed diversion routes will be in operation on these days.

Some additional work to the carriageway will be undertaken using off-peak lane closures between Wednesday 20 November and Friday 22 November 2013. Two-way traffic flow will be maintained on Kennedy Way.
