Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that a £280,000 improvement scheme is set to start on Monday 18 November on the B161 Mullanahoe Road in Ardboe near Cookstown.
The Minister said: "This significant investment will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this busy route in the Mid-Ulster area along the Lough Neagh shoreline."
The improvement scheme is expected to take around five weeks to complete.
The majority of work on the scheme is scheduled to be completed using lane closures. However, in order to ensure the safety of the public and site personnel an unavoidable four day road closure from 27 to 30 November to facilitate the laying the final surfacing work will be necessary.
All diversions will be clearly signposted and will be in place on the Battery Road in Coagh, Ballynargan Road, Stewartstown and Artie's crossroads in Clonoe.
