A resurfacing scheme is due to commence on Dee Street, Belfast next week, from Monday 2 December 2013.
The £135,000 scheme between Dee Street Bridge and Newtownards Road is being undertaken to improve the quality of the carriageway on this busy route and is expected to take 10 weeks to complete.
From 2 December to 20 December 2013, work will be undertaken on Dee Street between Dee Street Bridge and Island Street using off-peak lane closures (9.30am to 3.45pm). Two-way traffic flow will be maintained.
No work will be carried out over the Christmas period, however work will recommence on Monday 6 January 2014 when a one-way lane closure will be in place between 9.30am to 6pm each day for four weeks.
During this time, traffic will not be permitted to travel from the Newtownards Road to Island Street, however diversion signs will be in place.
