Mr Craig said: said: "I am pleased that the business case for the Community Safety College has been approved and we will now proceed to the next stage of the development. The college, when completed will provide a centre of excellence for the training of our public services including PSNI, Fire Brigade and Prison Service.
"This project will also provide a welcome boost to the construction industry in Northern Ireland. In the past there have been difficulties and concerns regarding the business case. I am pleased that those responsible for putting the case together have moved to address those concerns and we are now at the point of tendering for this vital project."
