Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £150,000 road improvement scheme in Portadown.
Resurfacing work on 500 metres of West Street, Portadown between Corcrain Road and Brownstown Road will start on Monday 20 January. The scheme will also include the resurfacing of Loughgall Road roundabout.
The Minister said: "Road users will benefit from the overall strengthening of the road structure and an improved carriageway surface."
During the work which will continue until Tuesday 4 February West Street will be closed to through traffic. Traffic will be diverted via Corcrain Road and Charles Street.
To facilitate the resurfacing of the roundabout at the junction of West Street and Brownstown Road, it will be subject to a road closure from 6pm on Friday 31 January until 8pm on Tuesday 4 February. Through traffic will be diverted via Coharra Road, Moy Road, Charles Street and Corcrain Road.
