Prospect Road In Carrickfergus To Be Improved

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy announced that a £300,000 improvement and resurfacing scheme at Prospect Road in Carrickfergus is scheduled to begin on Monday 27 January 2014.

The scheme is expected to be completed by 2 April 2014.

Mr Kennedy said: "This is a very significant investment in the road infrastructure in Carrickfergus.

"The scheme will improve the road network and will increase the life of the working life of road. Road users will quickly realise the benefits in terms of the surface quality on Prospect Road."

Due to the extent of the work and to help ensure the safety of contractors and road users it will be necessary to put lane and road closures in place. Local access will be maintained during the scheme.
