Ballygowan Resurfacing Scheme Extended

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the extension of a current resurfacing scheme at Ballykeigle Road, Ballygowan.

Allocation of additional funding has ensured that the entire length of Ballykeigle Road can now be resurfaced. The total cost of the scheme is £205,000.

Preparatory work is being carried out in advance of resurfacing which will start week beginning 10 February 2014.

The Minister said: "This scheme will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the carriageway on this link road in the Ballygowan area."
