Housing Minister Nelson McCausland has reminded the public that there's still time to have their say on how social homes may be allocated in the future.

A team from the Universities of Cambridge and Ulster have recommended that social housing allocation should be clearer and easier to understand.

The Minister said: "Following three successful public meetings last month on the future direction of social housing allocation policy, I want to remind the public that they have two weeks left to respond, as the consultation closes on 4 March.

"The allocation of social homes is a very important issue and I would encourage as many people as possible to express their views on how social homes may be allocated in the future. The comments received from the public and at each of the events will be considered as I develop proposals for the future of social housing allocations."
