Road Improvement Scheme Begins In Lurgan

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the commencement of a £165,000 road improvement scheme on Lake Street in Lurgan.

The refurbishment of Lake Street, from Levin Road to North Circular Road, is expected to be completed by Sunday 6 April.

Mr Kennedy said: "The improvement scheme will bring benefits for road users, pedestrians and traders in Lurgan."

To help ensure the safety of road users and contractors it will be necessary to close Lake Street to through traffic while the works are in progress. Clearly signposted diversions will be in place via North Circular Road and Antrim Road.

Access for residents will be maintained, however, there may be periods when works operations will hinder access and lead to unavoidable delays. Drivers are advised to leave additional time when travelling in the area.
