Buttercup Park To Be Rebuilt

Labour TD, Sean Kenny, has welcomed the rebuilding of Buttercup Park in Darndale as part of a €68m two year local authority house building initiative.

Mr Kenny said: "Buttercup in Darndale will see a €7.9m investment under the initiative which will produce 35 new homes. This funding is an investment that adds to a range of regeneration works that the Department of the Environment and Dublin City Council have undertaken in Darndale over recent years.

"I have been pushing very hard for the Government to release this funding for Buttercup Park and I know that Minister Jan O'Sullivan has been in agreement with me on the need for Buttercup to be rebuilt. The Buttercup project has been stalled since 2010 when the then Fianna Fail government failed to provide funding."
