Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that a £280,000 improvement scheme for sections of Middlepath Street and Bridge End in Belfast is set to begin on Tuesday 18 March.
The resurfacing scheme is expected to be complete by mid-April.
Mr Kennedy said: "The scheme will deliver a greatly improve carriageway surface and road users in the area will quickly realise the benefits of this significant investment."
To help ensure the safety of road users and contractors the improvements will involve localised lane closures between 9:30am and 4pm from Tuesday 18 March to Friday 28 March.
Unavoidable overnight closures are planned to take place on Monday 24 March to Friday 28 March. Lanes will be closed each night from 8pm to 11.15pm, followed by full road closures until 6am.
The final stages of the scheme are expected to take place on Sunday 6 April and Sunday 13 April. Road closures will be in place from 6am to 10pm.
