Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland has announced master planning exercises for Donaghadee and Comber, to set out the regeneration plans for both towns.
The master plans will present a framework within which detailed proposals can be developed for a mix of business, tourism, leisure, public space and housing that could be accommodated.
Announcing the plans, Minister McCausland said: "These will be two separate masterplans each with their own set of regeneration objectives, that will identify key opportunities to redevelop and regenerate both Donaghadee and Comber.
"This process will empower local businesses and communities in having a real input into the evolution of future plans for their towns and will seek input on important issues such as transportation, access and parking changes."
