Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has condemned an attack on NI Water contractors which happened in North Belfast last week.

Mr Kennedy said: "I want to condemn this attack which resulted in significant damage to a lorry and, more importantly, was a very frightening incident for the workers involved who should be free to carry out their work without fear or threat of violence.

"The contractors were involved in delivering a major £10 million scheme to improve water supply in the area but now have been withdrawn because of the serious nature of this incident."
