The A6 Glenshane Road in L'Derry is to be resurfaced.
The £95,000 scheme is to begin on 10 August and is expected to last for about one week.
In order to minimise disruption to traffic, the majority of the work will be undertaken at night from 7pm to 7am. For particular operations it will be necessary to close certain lanes of the carriageway.
A diversionary route will be sign posted via Crescent Road, Irish Street and Belt Road. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
The scheme is expected to be substantially completed by 17 August 2014.
