A £145,000 project to resurface the footway and carriageway at Coronation Road, Carrickfergus, is to begin today (18 August).
The work is expected to be completed by Friday 26 September. Partial lane closures and traffic management systems will be in place for the duration of the scheme for the safety of both road users and contractors. Road closures will also be required during the final stages of the scheme to facilitate carriageway resurfacing.
Transport Minister Danny Kennedy said: "This capital scheme will bring important improvements for road users and pedestrians in the area. The scheme will increase the working life of Coronation Road and greatly improve road strength. Drivers in particular will quickly realise the benefits of the improved surface quality of the carriageway."
