The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) is investing £1.3 million to upgrade almost 300 east Belfast homes with new gas heating.
Since last month, the NIHE has been working in the Knocknagoney and Inverary areas of east Belfast improving the heating in tenants' homes.
Existing pipework, radiators and necessary insulation works will also be carried out, as well as supplying a new focal point fire and surround and fitting a carbon monoxide detector where homes do not already have one.
South & East Belfast Manager, Carole Johnston, said: "This is a welcome investment in our properties for the tenants in east Belfast, especially as the winter weather is approaching.
"We want to make our homes as comfortable and as energy efficient as possible. The scheme is progressing well, with 108 homes completed and a further 190 homes to benefit in the coming weeks - a major boost for our tenants where their old, inefficient systems are replaced with more efficient gas systems."
