Construction Firm Fined For Waste Offences

A Northern Ireland-based construction firm has been fined over £1,000 for waste offences.

Castle Construction NI Ltd, based in Castlewellan, admitted four waste offences in relation to, and adjacent to, 5 Carnreagh Road, Ballynahinch, where approximately 900 tonnes of waste concrete, brick, plastics, soil and stone had been deposited without the necessary waste management licence or exemption.

The firm was also fined £250 for each of the four charges plus £74 court costs.
