An additional €4m has been secured to keep homelessness services in Dublin open until the end of the year, Minister for the Environment, Alan Kelly, has announced.
It is understood the money will be given to Dublin City Council, which oversees homelessness services across all four local authorities.
The money is in addition to what the council currently receives.
Minister Kelly said the money had been secured to try and tackle the "rising problem" of homelessness in the city.
