A contractor based in Craigavon has scooped a £28m contract.
JMC Mechanical and Construction Ltd has been appointed to provide full maintenance services to four Northern Ireland housing associations.
The deal will see the firm service 4,600 homes managed by Clanmil Housing Association, Connswater Homes, Abbeyfield and Wesley, and Hearth. It follows the housing providers' decision to leverage better value through a combined contract.
The move is designed to reduce costs, improve efficiency and ensure tenants receive a service that keeps their homes in excellent condition.
JMC will provide a responsive maintenance service covering all building, mechanical and electrical works. A social clause in the contract will also create a range of apprenticeships, training and work experience opportunities.
