Call For Installation Of Water Meters To Be Banned

Sinn Féin is calling for the installation of water meters to be banned.

MLA Gerry Kelly has written to regional development minister Danny Kennedy asking for a meeting to allay the fears of householders over the installation of water meters at homes across the North.

He said: "I will be asking the minister to bring forward legislation banning the installation of any further meters at homes.

"Sinn Féin is totally opposed to the introduction of water charges, north and south."
