Public Urged To Attend Anti-Fracking Conference In Fermanagh

A major international anti-fracking conference is to be held in County Fermanagh on Friday 20 February.

Sinn Féin is urging the public to register and attend the event at the Lough Erne hotel.

MP Michelle Gildernew confirmed expert Andy Gheorghiu, author of the Friends of the Earth 'Fracking Frenzy' report, will also be attending.

She said: "The conference will provide an opportunity to learn from international experience, both in terms of campaigns against fracking and also its environmental impact.

"Sinn Féin is opposed to fracking anywhere on the island and this conference will highlight how we will continue to oppose it.

"Attendance at the conference is free and I would encourage anyone thinking of attending to register as soon as possible to secure their place."
