Electric Ireland To Cut Gas Prices By 2.5%

Electric Ireland has announced it is to cut its gas prices by 2.5%.

The price reduction will come into effect from 1 April 2015.

Minister for Energy, Alex White TD, welcomed the price drop which follows recent announcements by BGE and SSE in January.

Minister White said: "This is a welcome sign of action by the energy companies, and while small, this reduction will further help reduce domestic energy prices."
