Call For A6 Upgrade To Remain A Priority

Sinn Féin is calling on the upgrade of the A6 to take priority.

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Ó hOisín welcomed the resurfacing of the Glenshane Pass, but said that the upgrade of the A6 remains a priority.

He said: "The £350,000 resurfacing scheme will greatly improve the roadway alongside the Eden Quarry which has several potholes and therefore improve safety on the major route between Derry and Belfast.

"I would call on the Minister to stop his patchwork approach to this main arterial route and begin the upgrade of this road to dual carriageway status which will benefit the entire North West region."
