Irish firm Vayu Energy partnered with Action Renewables in Belfast to unveil the winners of the 2015 Action Renewables Association Awards.
The awards were presented at an event in the Belfast Harbour to ten local businesses and organisations for their work in furthering the renewables industry and outstanding renewables.
The industry awards received their highest entry rate to date this year, further demonstrating that renewable energy is growing in popularity and practice across Northern Ireland. Congratulating the winners, Colm Kennedy, CEO, Vayu Energy said the company is delighted, as award sponsors to be involved in shining a spotlight on some of Northern Ireland's leading renewable energy initiatives.
Mr Kennedy said: "As newcomers to the Northern Ireland market, Vayu Energy was keen to get involved in showing our support for renewable energy through our sponsorship of this year's Action Renewables Awards. The overwhelming response to this year's awards clearly shows the overall strength of the renewables sector in Northern Ireland and the priority local businesses and organisations are giving to this important area.”
"As a supplier of 100% green electricity, Vayu Energy believes that renewables will play a significant role in electricity production over the decades to come. The good news is that Northern Ireland has an abundant supply of renewable energy resources, however, only a fraction of these have been harnessed to date so there is enormous potential for development."
