Sinn Féin is urging for an independent review body to be set up for farmers who are being asked to pay back basic payments as a result of unclear criteria for land eligibility.
The party's spokesperson on Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Ferris TD, said an independent review body needs to draw up proper, fair and clear criteria for farmers.
He said: "The government concession now that there were problems with the criteria surely points to the need for an amnesty and the need for clarity from here on."
