Athlone Foróige To Undergo Renovation Work

€50,000 funding has been secured for renovation works to be carried out at Athlone Foróige in County Westmeath.

The funding will be used or the provision of multi-purpose rooms, the renovation of backstage areas and the upgrade of windows at its centre in Athlone.

Fine Gael TD for Longford/Westmeath, Gabrielle McFadden, said: "As we all know, a lot of energy and resources go into supporting youth projects; they are largely funded by donations and are kept going thanks to the hard work of volunteers.

"Athlone Foróige is a deserving beneficiary of this funding and they are doing fantastic work with young people in the community. Foróige is Ireland's leading youth organisation in Ireland and has been working with young people for more than sixty years."
