The GAA's submission on the Casement Park redevelopment has been welcomed by Sinn Féin.

MLA Rosie McCorley the GAA presented "clear and robust" evidence that safety was always paramount throughout the project.

She said: "The committee heard forthright and clear evidence from the GAA officials, which was backed up by a leading sports stadia expert, which stated that there were no safety concerns about the redevelopment.

"I welcome the fact that the GAA have at last had the opportunity to set the record straight on its plans to redevelop Casement Park."
