PlanNet21 To Develop Data Centre In Dublin

PlanNet21 Communications has announced it is developing a 10,000 square feet data centre in Dublin.

The firm is to invest €20million in Ireland and the new centre is expected to open in November 2015.

Speaking at the announcement in the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, Dara Murphy TD, Minister for European Affairs and Data Protection said: "The construction of world-class data centres, such as that being announced by PlanNet21 today, is an important growth area for the Irish economy. Ireland has already established itself as a global hub for data centres and it is clear that the importance of the services they provide, such as cloud computing, is set to increase in the coming years."
