Energia Scoops Bundled Contract Worth Over €36m

Ireland's energy provider, Energia, has scooped a bundled contract worth over €36 million.

The contract is to supply gas to hundreds of state agencies, local authorities, schools, hospitals and public housing projects around Ireland.

The contract award will see Energia provide gas supplies to over 705 different sites and offices across Ireland over a two year period.

Included in the contract are landmark sites including the Houses of the Oireachtas, Dublin Castle, the National Gallery, Farmleigh, Kilmainham Gaol and the National Museum of Ireland. Other notable buildings that Energia will supply include:


• Local authorities: Clare County Council, Carlow County Council, Cork City Council, Galway City Council, Limerick City and County Council and Tipperary County Council.

• State agencies: the Revenue Commissioners, the Office of Public Works, the National Transport Authority, Failté Ireland and the Ordinance Survey of Ireland.

• Cultural sites including The National Museum of Ireland, The Museum of Modern Art and the Botanic Gardens.

• Schools in counties including Cork, Dublin, Louth, Waterford, Wicklow.

• Courts in Dublin, Meath, Cork, Kilkenny and Carlow.

• Swimming pools in Mullingar, Clonmel, Dublin, Meath and Westport.
