A Sinn Féin Cllr is calling on the Environment Minister to "take action now" and set a date to discuss the funding crisis for homeless services in Dublin.
Críona Ní Dhálaigh has written to Minister Alan Kelly to request an urgent meeting with the Minister and a cross party delegation to discuss the €18.5 million deficit in funding for homeless services in Dublin City.
She said: "It is incredibly frustrating not being able to sit down with the Minister to discuss this never mind not being able to get a straight answer on when the much needed funding would be made available.
"As the Dáil prepares for its summer recess I am extremely worried that this problem will be kicked down the road until mid-September.
"I have also written to An Taoiseach expressing my wish to organise a meeting with him."
