Carrosyl Oil Club Members Cut The Cost Of Oil

Carrosyl Oil Club members in Lisnaskea saved nearly 12% on a fill of 500 litres when they grouped their oil needs together.

Over 25 households are members of the club which is funded by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) and managed by Bryson Energy.

It is free to join and open to everyone living in the Carrowshee / Sylvan Hill area of Lisnaskea.

Social Development Minister, Mervyn Storey MLA, said: "Oil buying clubs offer people the opportunity to join with others in buying their home heating oil in bulk, achieving a better price than smaller, more costly refills. This is particularly useful in rural areas where there is a heavy dependence on oil.

"I commend the Housing Executive and Bryson Energy for undertaking this initiative and congratulate Carrowshee Park/Sylvan Hill Community Association for championing the oil club in their area."
