The formal consultation process for the planned A32 Cornamuck realignment scheme in Dromore has launched.
The announcement refers to the publication of the draft Statutory Orders which will pave the way for the provision of the road realignment scheme and represents a potential investment in the area of around £6 million.
The A32 is a Trunk Road within the Regional Strategic Transport Network and provides a link from Omagh and the surrounding areas to the South West Acute Hospital near Enniskillen. The scheme at Cornamuck includes 0.6km of online widening and realignment and a 0.8km section of offline carriageway construction. The plans include bus stops and associated lay-bys on the new section of carriageway. A new junction with Longhill Road is also proposed.
