Plans Announced To Extend Gas Network In West Tyrone

Plans to extend the gas network into west Tyrone have been announced.

SDLP West Tyrone representative Daniel McCrossan welcomed the move that will see Strabane connected to the network by 2016.

Mr McCrossan said: "It's great to see that plans for the extension of the network are well underway and that local towns like Strabane can expect to be connected by 2016 while Omagh will get first gas in 2017. The West has been neglected for far too long and this is a first step in embracing new infrastructure development in the area."
