A new primary school is to be built for the Pelletstown/Ashtown area and in the Castleknock and Carpenterstown area a new secondary school will be developed.
St Mochta's Clonsilla and St Patrick's Corduff are also to get new buildings.

Dublin Senator and Fine Gael candidate for Dublin West, Catherine Noone, welcomed the announcement.
She said: "I'm very aware of the pressing need to provide more school places in Dublin West, in order to continue to meet the accommodation requirements of our growing school going population.
"There is no question that Fine Gael has been committed to undoing the mistakes of the Fianna Fáil Government, when it comes to education. We have prioritised capital investment in education and are working to ensure the days of drafty prefab classrooms come to an end."
