Lagan Building Contractors has been appointed to develop the second office block of a £250 million 20-acre regeneration project in Belfast.
The £18m City Quays 2 development will provide additional Grade 'A' office space in Belfast.
The scheme will also generate 600 construction jobs.
Lagan Building Contractors, part of the Lagan Construction Group, were selected for the works by Belfast Harbour.
The development is due to be completed in early 2017 and will be built a BREEAM 'Excellent' standard.
In addition, the building will accommodate waterfront retail space on the ground floor.
Colin Loughran, CEO of Lagan Construction Group, said: "Lagan Building Contractors, part of the Lagan Construction Group of companies, is delighted to have secured the City Quays 2 contract which adds to our current portfolio of building projects in Belfast. We look forward to working with our client, Belfast Harbour, to deliver a state-of-the-art office block."
Dr. David Dobbin, Belfast Harbour's Chairman, added: "Earlier this year we completed City Quays 1, of which 85% is currently or soon to be occupied. This demonstrates that there is a high demand for office space of this quality and specification within Belfast.
"Belfast Harbour is delighted to appoint a local contractor to build what we expect to be an impressive addition to the waterfront, and we are pleased with how quickly the development is progressing overall."
