Sinn Fein has described the way the Government is treating the historic Moore Street site in Dublin is a "disgrace".
President Gerry Adams also said nowhere else in the world would treat such an iconic site so disgracefully.
Mr Adams said: "It is scandalous that in this centenary year of the Rising that the families of the Leaders have been forced to take the government to court to protect the National Monument.
"Moore Street has been described as the most important historic site in modern Irish history.
"In government Sinn Féin would protect and restore the entire Moore Street terrace."
