Belfast based Arup and Partners Ltd has been selected to bring forward a Development Scheme in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
The scheme proposes to redevelop the Laganbank Quarter area over the next 20 years.
Social Development Minister, Lord Morrow MLA, welcomed the appointment and said the project will benefit everyone living, working and visiting the City of Lisburn.
He said: "This is another critical step in the journey for Lisburn City. The enriched environmental improvements that this Development Scheme will bring will encourage much needed investment in the area, which in turn will bring increased social and economic prosperity. This is a fantastic opportunity for the new Council."
The Department for Social Development is providing approximately £33,000 towards the project.
