Call For Water Charges To Be Abolished

A Sinn Féin TD is once again calling for all water charges to be abolished.

After being elected TD for Dublin Bay North Sinn Féin's Denise Mitchell confirmed over 400,000 people voted for candidates aligned to the Right2Change platform to end water charges.

She said: "The Fine Gael/Labour Government has been defeated and water charges should leave the stage with them.

"My election is based on a mandate for the abolition of water charges and that will be a key priority for me in the Dáil."
