The site needs to be cleared following prposed development plans on the land.
Sinn Féin Cllr Janice Boylan welcomed the proposals and said there are currently 10 families waiting on offers in the last two blocks, another two who will move shortly and one family in the top two blocks nearest the pitch.

She said: "Although the proposals that the land is going to be built on are very welcome we cannot lose track of the fact that these families need to be allocated homes elsewhere before any of this can proceed. And it must be mentioned that the Sinn Féin group on Dublin City Council made sure that any developer wanting to build on the land has to build at least 30% social housing.
"We have worked with the officials to get what we see as the best possible outcome for this land. Ideally we would like the government to build on the land the city already owns, but we have seen a failure by Fine Gael and Labour to release the funding needed for this to become a reality."
