Pilot Scheme Launched To Improve Business Premises In Dublin

Dublin City Council (DCC) has launched a Pilot Scheme for improvements to be carried out on retail premises in Whitehall.

Grants for businesses are to be made available to improve the appearance of premises in the area.

Dublin City Councillor Noeleen Reilly welcomed the announcement and said she hopes it can be rolled out throughout the area.

She said: "A number of other improvements will be made to the public domain including the removal of the phone boxes and the installation of bike

racks are being examined along with the potential for greening the

area.

"I have also requested wheelchair access at the pavement in front of the Bingo Hall as there is currently none and we would have a lot of wheelchair users accessing the facilities there."
