Significant progress is being made on the new Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) headquarters in Ballykelly, Limavady.
Work is continuing on the project which is to be completed at the end of 2017.
Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald welcomed the announcement.
She said: "Design work is ongoing and builders are due on site in September this year, with expected completion of construction at the end of 2017.
"This is a hugely important project for the local area announced by my party colleague Michelle O'Neill when she was agriculture minister.
"I also welcome the news the minister has plans in place for staff relocation and to ensure business will not be disrupted."
