Contractor BSG Civil Engineering is continuing to work on a sewerage improvement project in Lisburn.
Irish Water appointed the firm to carry out the work, which was postponed until this summer to minimise traffic disruption in the area.
The scheme will improve the sewerage infrastructure in the area and will enhance the river water quality in the river Lagan.
There are two sections of work programmed:
Antrim Road
Work on replacing the existing sewer on Antrim Road between Clonevin Park and Bellevue Drive commenced on 04 July and will take approximately eight weeks to complete.
Antrim Street
It is anticipated that work on the construction of a new sewer overflow chamber on Antrim Street close to the entrance to the McKeown Street Carpark will commence on the 25 July and will take approximately eight weeks to complete.
