FP McCann has completed a £9.5 million infrastructure scheme near Belfast.
The North Foreshore Infrastructure Project involved creating two access road ways and a link road totalling around 1.7km on the north foreshore of Belfast Lough.
Work included developing a new slip way and junction off the Dargan Road, installing precast concrete and aqua drainage kerbs totalling around 2,000 metres and installing approximately 70 street lighting columns.
In addition, the contractor installed Ducts for BT and COMMS and a total of 56 precast concrete jointing boxes, as well as a new drainage/sewage system.
Traffic signs, bollards and road markings were also installed along each of the roads, with around 1.9km of footway and cycleway developed along the roads as well as two new roundabouts. Further works involved landscaping roads banks and verges.
The multi-million pound project was jointly funded by Invest Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council, and the European Regional Development Fund under the Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland under the Local Economic Development Measure.
