The go-ahead has been given to extend an Irish primary school in Termonfeckin, Co Louth.
Minister of State for Training and Skills John Halligan confirmed to Sinn Féin TD Imelda Munster that the seven classroom extension at Scoil Naomh Feichin has been given the green light and is due to go out to tender.
She said: "I had follow up meetings and had literally hounded the Minister in an attempt to secure the funding and to put right the earlier broken promise that had caused staff and pupils such disappointment. However, Minister John Halligan contacted me to inform me that the school extension build will go out to tender and that the school extension will now go ahead."
