NIE Networks To Begin Co Tyrone Power Line Project

NIE Networks is to begin building a new power line in Co Tyrone.

A team of 20 engineers will start stringing and tensioning an overheard electricity line across the Omagh Road on the weekend of 19 – 20 November.

The 1.5km line will connect wind farms in the Seskilgreen area to a substation in Tamnamore.

The scheme is part of a major investment by NIE Networks to upgrade the electricity network in the area and help Northern Ireland meet government targets for renewable energy.
