NI firm BSG Civil engineering is to begin work on a new storm sewer in Co L'Derry.
The work is to begin on Monday, 23 January, and is expected to take approximately 12 weeks.
The proposed construction work will involve the laying of approximately 418 metres of storm sewer and associated manholes to serve the Foyle College and Ebrington Primary School development.
Detailed traffic management plans have been discussed with TransportNI to try to minimise the impact of the works on residents, road users and the general public.
It will be necessary to have a temporary lane closure put in place on the Limavady Road, however two-way traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic lights.
Working hours will generally be restricted to 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. However, it may be necessary at times for work to be carried out outside of these hours.
