The project, to be funded by the Department for Communities through the Regional Shared Sporting Facilities programme, will be finalised once a budget outcome is known. It will be delivered by the Education Authority and operated in partnership with Mid Ulster Council.

The pitch will be located in the grounds of Aughnacloy College and will be managed by the College during school hours, with the Council managing the facility in the evening and weekends, making this state of the art facility available for wider community use.
Communities Minister Paul Givan said: "I welcome the excellent collaboration between the Education Authority, Aughnacloy College, Mid Ulster Council and the local community in delivering this project, and in coming together to manage the new facility going forward. This type of shared use scheme not only benefits the school but it will also benefit the people who live in Aughnacloy area and the wider rural community."
